Week Three (Till Tisha Beav)

Sunday: We went to Hebraica again, a bit late though. And after a half an hour Shmary remembered that he wanted to make a Farbrengen for his grandfather’s Yartzeit, so we quickly went to some stores and pulled some stuff together. (Keep in mind that it was Sunday afternoon so very few stores were open.) We invited whoever we thought would come, so we had us three Americans, plus the Shojats, plus five Venezuelans, one of which Farbrenged. Nice Farby, I put on some pictures and a clip.
Monday: Fewer kids, partly because of the nine days, the Sfardim get nervous. My bunk had only seven, including one kid that wasn’t here the second week, and two new kids. One Israeli (7) who doesn’t speak a word of Spanish. He’s here visiting his nephew (8) also in my bunk. His nephew at least also speaks Spanish. He has been living in Caracas for four years, now he is going to move to Israel. We went to The Children’s Museum, not so bad compared to Brooklyn, but not that modern. Monday night we were up late making the boxes for the auction the next day.
Tuesday: Morning was Soccer. (Now with ten kids, three Sfardim came back.) In the afternoon we went to the zoo. A decent variety of animals, all dying though. We had a very short time there so we had to rush through it, but we managed to see everything. Tzfas was left behind to go lay bowling. That was due to the fact that they would probably not enjoy the zoo, and they would just make it worse for everyone else.Wednesday: In the morning we went to an internet café, for the networked games. All the kids were playing Grand Theft Auto, how educational. After lunch was a auction, the points were based on the games we played last week. Traveling to Yerushalaim, Treasure Hunt… Of course which prize went to which bunk, was fixed. Included in the prizes were: Garbage, A Telephone Book, and Toilet Paper. But also some decent stuff, like Popcorn, Soda, etc. Major mess, Shui wasn’t too happy about that. Thursday is Tisha Beav, so the day ends at 12:30. Different activities too. I’ll give you a run down of that after it happens. To All, Have An Easy Fast.
